Garage Floor Epoxy Coating in Prescott, AZ
Your garage floor takes a beating. Tires drag in grit, oil drips happen, and Prescott’s freeze-thaw cycles work on bare concrete every winter. A professional epoxy coating turns that rough slab into a clean, durable floor you’ll actually want to show off. At Prescott Epoxy Company, we install garage floor coatings backed by a 10-year warranty, with most jobs wrapped in two days. We’re the only epoxy company in the Prescott area with a physical showroom, so you can see samples in person before you commit.
What a Professional Garage Floor Coating Includes
Every garage floor epoxy install from us follows the same proven system. No shortcuts, no acid etch, no box-store kits.
Diamond Grinding Prep:
We grind the concrete down to a fresh, porous surface using commercial diamond machines and HEPA vacuums. This is the professional standard. It gives the epoxy something to mechanically bond to so the coating doesn't peel or chip down the road.
Crack and Pit Repair:
Cracks, pits, and surface damage get filled and leveled before any coating goes down. A smooth floor coats better and lasts longer.
Base Epoxy Layer:
A solid pigmented base coat is applied across the entire floor and up the walls a few inches if you want a finished cove edge.
Decorative Flake Broadcast (Optional):
Full-flake systems use vinyl color chips broadcast into the base coat for that classic showroom look. You can also choose solid color or custom designs. All flake and color options are on display in our Prescott showroom.
Clear Polyaspartic Topcoat:
A high-build clear topcoat seals everything in. This is what gives the floor its shine, chemical resistance, and UV stability. It's also what makes spills wipe up in seconds.
10-Year Warranty:
Every install is backed in writing.
How the Install Works
Most Prescott garage floors are done in two days from start to finish. Here’s the process from your first call through walkthrough.
- 1. Free Estimate. Call us at (928) 800-8154 or fill out the online form. We'll come measure your garage, talk through color and flake options, and give you a written quote. You can also visit the showroom at 1030 Sandretto Dr, Suite K to see samples in person.
- 2. Day One: Prep and Base Coat. Crews show up, clear the garage, and grind the concrete. Cracks get repaired. Once the surface is ready, the base epoxy goes down with the flake broadcast (if you chose a flake system).
- 3. Day Two: Topcoat and Final. The clear polyaspartic topcoat seals the floor. We do a final walkthrough with you to make sure everything looks right.
- 4. Cure Time. You can walk on the floor the same day the topcoat is applied. We recommend waiting a few days before parking vehicles on it so the coating fully cures.
Why Prescott Garage Floors Need a Professional Coating
Prescott sits at about 5,400 feet. Summers run hot and dry, winters bring cold nights and the occasional snow, and freeze-thaw cycles work on every concrete slab in the city. Bare concrete absorbs moisture, dusts off into your garage, and stains permanently the first time oil hits it.
A properly installed epoxy system seals the slab. Moisture stays out. Oil and chemicals wipe up. Dust stops. And the coating handles the temperature swings without cracking or lifting, as long as it was installed with proper prep.
That last part is where most DIY kits and cheap installs fall apart. Acid etch and roll-on kits don’t open the concrete enough for the coating to bond. Six months later, you’ve got peeling and chipping. Diamond grinding fixes that. It’s the only prep we use.

Garage Floor Coating Options
Your garage doesn’t have to look like every other garage on the block. We install three core systems and customize from there.
- Full Flake System: The most popular choice. Vinyl color chips broadcast into the base coat give a textured, multi-color finish that hides dirt and looks great for decades.
- Solid Color: Clean, modern, single-color finish. Great for shop spaces, workshops, or homeowners who want a minimalist look.
- Custom Designs and Metallic: Decorative metallic epoxies, custom logos, and specialty patterns are available for homeowners who want something unique.
All color and flake options are on display in the showroom.

Prescott, AZ Garage Floor Epoxy FAQs
A properly installed system with diamond grinding prep and a polyaspartic topcoat will last 15 to 20 years or more in residential use. We back our installs with a 10-year written warranty.
We grind. DIY kits use acid etch or no prep at all, which is why they peel. We also use commercial-grade epoxy and polyaspartic topcoats, not the thinned-down materials that come in box-store kits. And we have a showroom you can actually visit.
You can walk on the floor the same day the topcoat is applied. We recommend waiting three to five days before parking vehicles on it to let the coating fully cure.
Yes. Garage floor epoxy is installed inside an enclosed, temperature-controlled garage. As long as the garage can be kept above the minimum cure temperature, winter installs work fine.
Cost depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the concrete, and the system you choose (flake, solid color, or custom). Free estimates are the best way to get an accurate number. Call (928) 800-8154 or use the form below.
Yes. The garage needs to be completely cleared so we can grind, prep, and coat the entire floor. We can give you guidance on this during the estimate.
